2008 Highlander Limited - Changing the clock

Re: 2008 Highlander Limited - Changing the clock [rpfdds]

Well I guess that since the DISP button on the center console doesn't control a thing on the smaller display, Toyota assumed that you would have figured out to use the one on the steering wheel. Guess not. Read More...

Re: 2008 Highlander Lease Evaluation [tourguide]

I completely agree, tourguide. Seven hundred bucks a month for a Toyota Highlander is absolutely nuts. That's BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus territory. Definitely pass on this "deal." Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum Read More...

Re: 2008 brakes [mtairyordge]

Rent one. Drive it for a day or two. Two of my last three Avis rentals were base Highlanders. I am so happy I sprung for the Ltd. (over the base). After driving a 5-speed for most of my life, all automatics drive me nuts. Somewhere around 2004 Toyota seems to have added the downshift thing to their cars - both on braking and with the cruise control on. Both drive me nuts ... Read More...

Toyota Highlander Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: 2008 Highlander AWD almost base model in MA [m94]

It was $36, 800 w/o the toyota financing incentive. I will probably be financing for 60 months, so the best rate I can get would be 2.9% through toyota. They offered to take $1500 more off if I went through another lender, since the the financing / incentive is either or. I failed to mention that MSRP on the this particular vehicle was $38, 800. Their invoice claimed ... Read More...

Sport Pricing?

Building my own 2009 Sport 4x2 Highlander on the Toyota site results in a mandatory Option A package priced at $6765 and loaded with useless items. The total price is $37510. 2008 Sports had more reasonable option packages. Anyone else notice this? Read More...

Re: rebates/incentives

Hi, You might want to indicate what city you are buying in. Toyota Motors incentives can vary from region to region sometimes. Here in SoCalif, for the 2008 Highlander (non-hybrid) my guess it will remain $1000 cash rebate or 4.9% financing. I am hoping for more - something like $1,500. Toyota Corporate will not announce the new incentives in each region for a ... Read More...

Accidentally Opening Locked Doors From Inside?

I just bought a new 2008 Highlander Sport. While I have seen many posts and discussions about the automatic locking features and how to change them or modify them, I have a question I haven't seen covered. I noticed that no matter how the doors lock (automatically, manually) and whether the vehicle is moving or not, I can still pull on the door handle and open the ... Read More...
