Re: front strut bar [rq86]
Yo !!! Buy front strut brace thru Scion/Toyota. Keep those shock towers from flexing. I suggest installing sway bar also. Big difference in cornering. Good luck. I'm agreeing with mr.shiftright. I'm using my brace and sway bar on a 2008 xb. :) Read More...
2008 Scion xB Engine Concerns
Does anyone else have this problem? It probably isn't a bad thing, but the sides of the front of the car(right above the wheel-the front fender I think...) get really warm, almost hot after the engine has been running for a while, but yet the hood is cool - is that something to be worried about? 2008 SCION XB TRANSMISION PROBLEMS
Re: 2008 SCION XB TRANSMISION PROBLEMS [problemxb]
We purchased a xB in March this year and we haven't had the problem you have, but something similar. The transmission acts funny sometimes - it hasn't done it lately... but it seems to hesitate when taking off. Also my wife and I were going on an overpass and the transmission couldn't decided what to do - it slipped gears sorta... Very strange and also when coming ... Read More...
Should I trade in my 2008 Scion XB?
I have a 2008 Scion XB that I purchased in May. We were really happy with the car until the windshield cracked and I read about all of the owners who have cracked windshields. Our windshield cracked near the dashboard and not near the rearview mirror as seems to be the case in other posts. I had intended to keep the car for 10-12 years. What I am wondering is whether I ... Re: So, is there a next step?? [waps]
I don't believe that they ever fixed this issue because I am the "lucky" owner of a 2008 Scion XB and mind you have only owned the vehicle for 2 weeks! I have the same type crack in my windshield, "L" shape. My knee jerk reaction was to do what everyone else did and take it to the dealership. Let's just say that it was as pleasant as a route canal. They totally did not take ... Read More...
2008 SCION XB- ENGINE Problems >>>HELP<<<
I purchased a 2008 Scion XB in May 2008 (Manual Trans). It has 4300 miles on it and about 2 months ago, when i start my car when the engine is cold, the car sputters, rough idols, mis fires whatever you want to call it. The engine also vibrates and you can feel and hear the sputtering until the motor gets hot. I took my car to the Dealership and they ran tests on the car and ... Read More...
Re: 2008 Scion XB MAJOR ENGINE PROBLEM [shelly08]
I have had the same anti-freeze smell since I got my 08 xB in March. When I took it in for it's first service, I told them about it. They said they ran tests and couldn't replicate the problem, therefore there is nothing wrong. I also have a wierd creaking type noise when I brake at very slow speeds, like pulling up to a curb, or in a parking lot. They did a TSB and said they ... Read More...
Frozen Windows
This is a warning to those living in cold climates who are considering buying the new generation of the Scion xB. I bought the 2008 xB in February and was soon surprised to learn that as often as not there would be one or two windows that I could not roll down (electronically) when the temperature was below freezing. There is apparently some problem with the design ... Read More...
