Transmission Problems Saturn Outlook
Re: Transmission Problems ~ Saturn Outlook 2007 [cschaper]
When you pull it down into the first position and use the buttons to shift up or down, the current gear is show to the right of the normal P R N D L indicator, IIRC. I have used it a few times but normally just use D. I did find that on my 20 mile route to the golf course that if I control the speed instead of using cruise control I can up my MPG by about 2. Driving with the average ... Read More...
Re: Transmission Problems ~ Saturn Outlook 2007 [paynski]
Maybe you should try what I do. I too love the size, performance and features of this vehicle. I use the manual shifting option and leave it in 4th or 5th gear for cruising around town at that 45 mph range. Much better performance. It must be the 6th gear and desire for the gas mileage rating that causes the "hesitation". The 6th is basically an overdrive, and I use it ... Read More...
Sunroof leak on my 2007 Saturn Outlook
Re: sunroof leak on my 2007 saturn [lakegal]
I bought my Saturn Outlook in October 2007 and 1st noticed it leaking April 2008. It has been in the shop 6 times since April and GM is refusing to do anything about it. They have offered me a small cash settlement to keep my leaking Outlook and go away. I now have a lawyer. Since I put more than the 12,000 miles a year allotted by the Lemon Law we are having problems with ... Read More...

2008 Outlook frnt end noise
I've had this outlook for about 4 months now and it has been in service 4 times for the front end noise (clunks), the last time it was in the shop they replaced the struts because that is what Saturn told them to do (?). Now after a week I will be bringing it back in a few days for them to rip it apart and try to find something else! Has anybody ever gotten anywhere with this? ... Read More...

Lease Help
We're looking at a Saturn Outlook lease for a 2008 XE AWD with the additional items being remote start, backup sensor, and special paint. The MSRP is $32600 here in NJ. I'm working on a lease with no money down (just $1495 to cover the basics) for 39 months and 12k. The dealer has quoted me a monthly payment of $351. I know the details need filling in but is this a godd ... Read More...

2008 Saturn Outlook Transmission Issues
I've had my '08 Outlook since mid Dec '07. I hate the electronic transmission control system. It's OK around town, but it's horrible on the road when you have to pass someone, or go uphill. When passing, there is a huge 2 second delay before power is applied. First the engine revs up to 5K rpm, then it downshifts depending on pedal position and selects a lower gear. ... Read More...

Re: 2008 Outlook XE AWD deal [cyclone4evr]
John, the trade-in was $3,700. It needed brakes (pads and system), had scratches on each front door, chip in windshield, etc. Nothing that didn't surprise me. I think the blue book value was around $4K, but overall I was OK with the trade. Final price included doc fee, tax, GMAC fee, etc. I wanted to have my wife drive out of the dealer without having to write a check ... Read More...
2008 Outlook XE AWD deal
Hi everyone. I just completed a lease deal last night for a 2008 Saturn Outlook XE AWD. MSRP was $31245, GM "employee" discount (I work for Comcast) took it down to $30,151. I didn't want to put money down but was willing to trade in my wife's 2000 Subaru Forester L to buy down the monthly payment. Honestly, I couldn't see myself fixing the car and trying to sell it for ... Read More...

Re: 2008 Saturn Outlook lease offer...it has to get better? [ridemywave]
Greetings ridemywave. You never mentioned the selling price of the car that you are interested in leasing. This is an important number for you as a consumer to know for two reasons. First, the selling prices of leased vehicles can be negotiated, just as if you were paying cash for them. Without knowing the price of the car that you want to lease you don't know how ...
