Re: 2009 Maxima lease [zman16]
by gs42 on Sat Nov 29 22:39:52 PST 2008
I'm sure that some dollars may have been saved. This is the factory offer. The dealer was pretty much a go-between or facilitator for the company, 2009 Maxima S with splash guards and mats, model 08219. Subject to availability to well-qualified lessees through Nissan-Infiniti LT. $31,205 MSRP includes destination charge. Net capitalized cost of $27,575 includes a $595 non-refundable acquisition fee. Dealer contribution may affect actual price set by dealer. Monthly payments total $13,221.00. At lease end, purchase for $19,035.05, plus $150 purchase option fee (except KS and WI), plus tax, or pay excess wear and tear plus $0.15 per mile for mileage over 12,000 miles per year. Lessee is responsible for maintenance and repairs. See participating Dealer for details. Offer ends December 1, 2008. I feel better that I paid no taxes, title or acquisition fees which th Nissan ad indicated were required.. The quoted residual is down to low 18k if we want to buy it. If I like this car...and, MAN, I like it so far,we will go ahead a buy it it in a few months As I read the lease, I'm paying only 27k after the acquisition fee is waived. The dealer added a set of mats and a wind spoiler for the moonroof. 337 a month is niot bad for a car that needs nothing in its base form. This isn't your cousins Maxima. Ride is good, but leans toward sporty handling. It is VERY quiet inside at highway speeds. All in all, the most for the money a buyer can get at this point in time. Luxury, power, handling and passenger comfort in one package.can be matched perhaps by a G8..now try to buy one or lease one for anywhere close to the Max. it is more than I expected. A Buick sedateness and conduct in ordinary driving, and a V-8 dig and torgue when the engine is asked to go while cornering and handling well above the norm. I plan to like it a long time.
Re: Belated Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone [dewey]

Hey Dewey, I am enjoying the second Thanksgiving this year. My recently won client is in Kansas City, yep the Mid West, so I had the Canadian Thanksgiving before heading over there, and now I get to take another TG long weekend. I like this one better since we get both Thu and Fri off. I wish I had stayed over in KS instead of coming back to the cold/wet Toronto. On the topic of cars, it never felt so good driving my Lexi after three weeks of rental vehicle, a PT Cruiser. No wonder no one buys these junks, only the car rental companies. My RX drives and handles better than that POS :surprise: On the financial front, I hope the markets will continue this rally to at least surpass the damages done in the past three weeks. You were right on with the warning on C,. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Re: Big Day Coming Up!!!!!!!! [lemko]

I'm originally from Indiana, and have lived in many small and large towns through out the midwest from Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas and now illinois. I'd say $14-15/hr is an average wage for these areas. Cost of living is nothing like Chicago or what Lemko describes in Philly. $150k buys a respectable home, and many started houses can easily be had for $100k. We moved from Wichita, Ks a year and a 1 1/2 ago and it was pretty much the same way. Most of the aircraft blue collar jobs where in the $12-$16/hr range. Housing was inexpensive. We sold our 3 year old ranch with 3,000 finished sq/ft 5 bedrooms, safe/tornado room, custom landscaping, sprinkler system, 3 car garage, in a subdivision with a 18 hole golf course for just under $200k. You could get a new house in a new development for under $130k. Nothing like what I was looking at on the north side of Chicago, where we almost to. $350k got you a 30 year old tri-level that still had 70's paneling. That's insane. I'm sure prices have probably dropped a bit since then though.

From what I've heard on other forums, the rubber TPMSs are working as well as the metal ones and have to be reset at the dealer. Some tire stores can do it also.

Are you sure you're letting the air out long enough? If you have the rubber valve stem, then you'll probably have to take it to the dealer.
