paint chips

I have rust spots from chips also... but it is quite obvious that the rust occurs where the paint is missing. Are you trying to say that there are rust spots on top? Honda's paint quality is less than average. It has been my experience that Honda products scratch and chip very easily, especially with the TSX's hood. If the rust occurs where the paint is chipped, I really don't think Acura is going to help you. What color is your TSX? Because it seems like the Carbon is particularly susceptible
How many trees to mitigate a GW Convention?
by gagrice on Mon Dec 01 19:58:59 PST 2008
Staging a global forum on climate change is a dilemma, as it adds to the very problem it is trying to solve. Around 13,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) will be added to the Earth's greenhouse effect from the December 1-12 meeting of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the UNFCCC said. That estimate is based on a turnout of 8,000 people, but as of Sunday 10,657 people had registered for the talks. Poland, which is hosting the meeting, "plans to offset the total emissions resulting from the conference once a final calculation has been made," the UNFCCC said. Under offsets, anyone emitting carbon can invest in a scheme that mitigates the pollution by the same amount. Typical projects involve reforestation or transferring cleaner technology to developing countries in order to ease their own emissions of greenhouse gases. The Mango trees planted to offset the GHG put out by the Global Warming Concert Tour all died from lack of water. Guess that was not such a great plan by the head Guru Al Gore. I can tell them that planting trees in the Arctic will not help bring back the ice. It is best to plant indigenous trees to avoid future eco damage.

"So this is like a drug company hiring a former and possible future consultant to verify their new drug is safe and effective. It's BIASED. You need to go outside the cozy circle of the auto world, to get as far from the $ influence. " We should listen to someone outside the auto world to get data on the auto world? These guys know the automotive world inside and out. Yes, perhaps they could be biased but they know their stuff. But hopefully we will never have to figure out if they were incorrect. Re: Question About 2009 Model Parking Brake [asa]

It better be! I looked at the pics they listed on their website and it's either int he center console or under the left foot. If it's a foot brake it completely defeats the purpose of having the manual transmission.

Thanks for your response. 1) Did Ford make any changes to the 2007 model? In terms of reliability, am I better off buying a 2007 vs. 2006? 2) What type of transmission does the 2008 Taurus X use? Is there any data to indicate this is better than the CVT used in the 05 to 07 models?

..."or the Chinese who use coal to heat and cook are going to stop burning fuels as they do? No. "... Indeed the number one foreign supplier to China for coal is... you guessed it... the US of A.!!! Since the skids for this unsung distinction were greased LONG ago by the Clinton administration; as you might remember the VP for that eight year regime was Al Gore? I could be mistaken.? VP Gore did credit himself with inventing the internet.( I didn't know VP's had THAT much free time) Does anyone even wonder what a democratic dominated House, Senate, Executive branch, state governors, etc., etc. will do about this? ;) As most folks do probably know, we are the figurative and literal middle east of coal. China really endeavors to be just like us !!!! Just keep in mind as Kernick suggests, we are a population of 300 M vs 2,000 M (2 B) . or 6.7 times the population! So if anything, turn on even higher the bubble machine !!! Just play more tunes with the global warming theme. One might further ask, IF solar panels are the policy, instead of coal fired electrical generation plants, how long it would take for a majority of houses to be so equipped? Keep in mind the AVERAGE Chinese family's income is less than 2,000 US per year. With the average solar panel system costing 20-30k installed here, any liberal can do the math!?
