Like a good friend, reliable and fun.

Review
When trying to buy a car for a high school teenager, one must always take into their "need" for a fast and good looking car. This car I believe has good looks and although it won't beat any decent DSM's it's handling is superb, and to add to that it is the most reliable car I have ever known. Nissan builds cars like rocks, and spin down the block solidifies this. The transmission in this car is incredible, everything is point to point, no "grey gears" to felt. While in a race this car may never keep up with those DSM's it will defintely outlast them, plus just remember who has working AC.
Favorite Features
As stated earlier, this transmission can not be beat. The clutch's catch point is very near the ground, and although hard to learn on, it is extremely easy to use when you get used to it. The good transmission is not inherent only to the 200SX's as it can be found on any fairly new Nissan.
Suggested Improvements
While sporting a nice interior, a few lights behind things like certain AC and radio controls have burnt out. Doesn't really affect anything just a little bothering. Also both doors' hinges have bent and a decent force must be exerted to close them.

"Personalized Puddle Jumper" - My mom
Vehicle
1998 Nissan 200SX 2 Dr SE Coupe
Review
Each person who buys a car has varied expectations out of their purchase. My scenario: recently a 16-year old high schooler car enthusiast who payed for everything but the initial price. Performance: never whiny free revving engine with 5 speed, ok acceleration at high revs, shifting never sloppy. Cost and Upkeep: BEST part of the car. 30+ mpg very spirited driving, no unexpected repairs w/ normal maintenance. Aesthetics(inside and outside): overall above average function and placement but kinda plain. Add some zest with seat covers, speakers, neon or whatever to PERSONALIZE! I had 3 minor crashes to body and chassis which never changed how it drove..EVER. Would drive it, but totalled
Favorite Features
Lightweight, decently zippy, gorgeous mpg, slew of aftermarket parts and improvements available to personalize. Perfect for high schoolers or college kids cuz of low maintenance and cheap parts. The A/C button acts as a turbo :) Fairly spacious trunk and enough room for 4 adults without major gripes
Suggested Improvements
A few things here and there (cupholders, no rear armrests, rear seats dont fold down, etc) but wish I had gotten the SE-R. 115 hp will never cut it (dont make it worse by getting an automatic). Revised body kit and stereo system (personalize!) would be nice. Makes a great engine swap candidate.

Surprisingly Fun Yet Practical Car
Vehicle
1998 Nissan 200SX 2 Dr STD Coupe
Review
The lightweight manual transmission base model, despite not having significant amounts of power, is still fun to drive. Although its somewhat tall stance and small brake rotors may suggest otherwise, this vehicle is capable of some very spirited driving. Interior cabin space is very good, visibility is excellent, and highway mileage is impressive (I often average 38 mpg on mostly highway driving). I would reccomend this car to younger drivers who want a fun small car that can still comfortably carry their friends and their overnight bags.
Favorite Features
Gas mileage, cabin space, low maintenance costs, good aftermarket support for those of you who like to modify your cars.
Suggested Improvements
Long shifter throw, somewhat stiff- backed front seats, engine noisier than in Honda/Toyota economy cars.

Great Commuter car
Vehicle
1998 Nissan 200SX 2 Dr SE Coupe
Review
I love my 200sx because it is reliable, spanky(notreally powerful)but averages 30mpg on gas. it is well built and put together and I love it. The only problem I've had so far is oil leak due to a faulty valve cover which was fixed for under $200 and the annoying check engine light that my mechanic cannot figure out. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a reliable transport that won't drain the bank account.
Favorite Features
fuel econonomy, reliability, exterior looks(looks better than the 2000 model sentra), seats, sound system, snrf
Suggested Improvements
more horsepower(let us have the SR20VE engine like they do in europe and Asia. that engine makes 180hp from a N/A 2.0 ltr engine). I plan to mod' mine with a tubocharger kit.

1998 Nissan 200SX 2 Dr SE Coupe
Review
this car it sporty in look, but has little pick power when you intially hit the gas, even as a standard, my automatic '92 escort had more power. But it flys down the road easy reach high speeds, it is very fuel effiecent with little maintance.
Favorite Features
I love the moon roof the spoiler the automatic windows and doors.
Suggested Improvements
It needs a little more power, better wind sheild wipers and cup holder placement.

This car is very reliable. It is perfect for one or two people, but I would not recommend it for a family.
Favorite Features
I hardly ever have to fill my gas tank! The car is a lot of fun to drive, and it is easy to handle.
Suggested Improvements
I suggest improving the exterior appearance of the car. The interior is fine except the console could be structured better.
NEEDS HYDRAULIC CLUTCH !!!!
Vehicle
1998 Nissan 200SX 2 Dr SE Coupe
Review
This is a GREAT car, but it needs to get with the times. A 1998 should have a hydraulic clutch, not a crappy cable clutch. All of you people that like the mushy clutch in this car, this is probably your first stick shift car. Believe me, after you have driven a hydraulic clutch there's no going back. Hydraulic is better performance, stiff with good pressure for easy take off out of first gear.
Favorite Features
White face gauges are nice. Cruise control a plus. Body design is great, sporty look is very unique compared to other cars in its class.
Suggested Improvements
Seats are too low. Cupholders too close to stereo. Upholstory seats are too cheap, needs good quality upholstory.

Nice Car!
Vehicle
1998 Nissan 200SX 2 Dr SE-R Coupe
Review
200SX is a great car for young people who doesn't have the money for a luxury sports car. With little mods it can be turned into a sportier coupe, just replace it's 14 inchers with 16's and you got a new powerful look!!. No mechanical/electrical problems experienced.
Favorite Features
White face gauges
Suggested Improvements
Clutch pedal should have a softer feel, it feels some how hard and non-linear.
