Nimble steering and handling make the CLS drive smaller than it is. Its strong V8 engine brings life to the party.
Comfort
The 4-place seating arrangement gives adequate space to all, but the roofline makes the rear door openings a bit small. The air-suspended ride is smooth and compliant.
Function
The combined navigation/audio syetem is hard to use. Other controls are well-located, but don't break any new ground.
Design/Build Quality
Wow. The CLS establishes itself as an instant classic -- totally unexpected from normally conservative Mercedes-Benz.
