Here in Florida, the "Dealer Service Fee" is charged by most dealers on every transaction. It varies from what I have seen between $250 and $895. This is added after you negotiated your "best price" on the car, and if you challenge it, they say that they "have to" add it on, because they do that to all customers. 2800 miles on the odometer. 2008 Mazda5 Sport with manual transmission. So far: first tank (all highway) was 28.5. It got better after the first tank, now it averages 28-31 on road trip at 70-75 mph speed. On commute to work roughly 50% highway 50% city, I constantly get 26.5 - 28.5. Very happy with it! Yeah, economy is bad, but out of all the Mazdas the Mazda5 is the fastest moving vehicle in the lots (it is not a Dodge Durango), so I still believe you are dealing a 2008 not an 09, and it does not matter if both are new, it is just how things work. The 2008-2009 mazda5 does not exist. It is either a 2008 or a 2009. I've owned a Civic before, boring and small cars. Mazda has a much better driver-car engagement. Now, if they are selling it for that price, for sure is a 2008. Read More...

I am still getting the runaround with Mazda about adding the IPod option to my new mazda5 with Sirius. Several of you have said that you have it with Sirius. I don't have navigation. I have also purchased the "Mazda Total Care" extended warranty (with ZERO deductiable) for 100,000 miles or 6 years. The GOOD thing is... if I do not use the extended warranty, at the end of the contact, I will get 100% money (the purchase price of the warranty) back. It is stated in the contract.
