2008 Lexus SC 430 Road Test Ratings

Excellent build quality and a quiet, comfortable ride make up for its less than stellar performance.

This is not a performance driver's car at all. It is heavy, has excessive body roll and lackluster acceleration for this class.

The seats are comfortable and supportive. The SC is very quiet with the top up and the ride is softer than average for the segment.

The fully automatic folding hardtop works well and the cabin is loaded with many thoughtful, easy-to-use features.

The SCs exterior styling is an acquired taste. Build quality, interior design, and material choices, however, are excellent.
