MOSCOW — AvtoVAZ, the parent company of Lada, has unveiled the Lada C-Cross concept as part of an expanded portfolio of production and motorsports vehicles at the 2008 Moscow Auto Show.

As its name implies, the C-Cross is a Focus-size crossover vehicle that "marries advanced features of a town car and off-roader," according to Lada. The company describes the C-Cross as a "conceptual model" and says there are no immediate plans for production.

The production range includes Lada's two main series, the aging Kalina and the newer Priora, including a dual-fuel Priora CNG that can run on either gasoline or compressed natural gas.

Sports fans can admire some of Lada's motorsport hardware on a separate stand. On display are the 180-horsepower Lada Kalina TMS Turbo 4x4 and the Lada WTCC, which is contesting the World Touring Car Championship with the local team Russian Bears.
