LONDON — One of the standout alt-fuel vehicles at the 2008 British Auto Show is bound to be the Nice MyCar, an Italian electric two-seater that is set to go on sale here in the fall priced at just under $18,000.

Technical details on the MyCar will be revealed on Tuesday at its formal unveiling. The MyCar is designed by Giugiaro of Italdesign and built in Hong Kong. Nice, which was launched two years ago in London, says the MyCar has a range of around 40 miles and a top speed of 40 mph. Options include a glass roof or a removable fiberglass roof, a leather interior and a forward-folding passenger seat with a laptop dock.

In a statement, Nice Co-Founder Julian Wilford said the company will be opening retail locations across the U.K. this year, with a European expansion to follow.

Nice will use the occasion of the 2008 British Auto Show for the global debut of its new Ze-0, a Euro-styled sedan that is built in China. It has a range of up to 65 miles in city driving and is expected to start at around $22,000 when it goes on sale here in the fall.
