Beijing Auto Show

The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, or Beijing Auto Show as it's more widely known, is one of China's biggest car shows. It occurs every other year, alternating with Auto Shanghai, the other major Chinese auto show. The Beijing auto show has been held for twenty years now, but only recently has it achieved the status of other major international auto shows like Detroit, Frankfurt and Tokyo.

In 2006, the Beijing auto show was greatly expanded to include larger exhibits, more international participation and a greater number of exhibitors. The expansion coincided with the more general expansion of China's auto industry. Although many of the major manufacturers in China are currently partnered with foreign companies, there’s a growing domestic industry attempting to rival anything found in the U.S. and Europe..

Both the Beijing auto show and Auto Shanghai occur in April of their respective years.
