Review

I previously owned a Honda Accord but wanted a vehicle that would give me more room and a classy look. I never expected to purchase the FX35 but after viewing the ivory pearl color and test driving, I immediately feel in love. This car is a real head turner and I've gotten so many compliments on its design. I have plenty of leg room and its fun to drive.

Favorite Features

I love the memory seats, technology package, homelink, rear view camera and headlights. Each day I find out something new. I love my car!!

Suggested Improvements

Better gas mileage, navigation touch screen and wood grain interior

I owned an fx35 a while ago and absolutely loved this vehicle. It gives you the feel of a high powered sports car. I recieved compliments everywhere I went. I would recommend this car to people who love making a statement. Only bad downfall is not a very kid friendly car.

Favorite Features

Steering wheel adjuster, sound system, memory seats, too much more to list.

Review

This is a very capable car, particularly if you like a more sporty feel, but also want comfort. Although the sport ride is stiff, on longer journeys I don't find the car tiring. On twisty roads it's a lot of fun - my only dislike is the manual gearbox mode which often refuses to shift. At 6'5" there are not many cars I find comfortable, but the FX is great for the taller driver, even with the sunroof. I really enjoy the different look of this car. If only it had a few improvements to the drivetrain. Having said that, I would buy another one, only it would have to be the V8. The V6 is a great engine but still too puny for this heavy car.

Favorite Features

The sporty driving experience and styling. An SUV you can actually enjoy driving and walk up to in the parking lot without wishing it was something else!

Suggested Improvements

It's about time the unreponsive manual mode Infiniti gearbox was improved. (Supposed to be a sports car?) Really frustrating to brake into a bend and have the gearbox refuse to downshift. Gearing is very tall, 0-60 is much slower than it could be! BMW is way ahead here and have been for years.

Nothing special, get sick driving after a while. The car is too bumpy, small on cargo space. Trunk is too small.

Favorite Features

Reliable.

Suggested Improvements

Absolutely need improvements in suspension. The car is too BUMPY and after a while it is not fun. I used have sport german cars, night and day as far as suspension goes.

Review

I inherited this car from my wife after I recently bought her a Tahoe. I was a little skeptical at first. I knew she loved the car, but the car was different than anything I had driven. Over the past few months, I have fallen in love with the car. I have ridden in a friend's Cayenne S and have driven other crossovers. There is no other vehicle on the road that drives like a sportscar, feels like a sportscar when you are behind the wheel and still allows you to put a bicycle in the back with both wheels on. Amazing. I'm about to supercharge mine and make some modifications, but it has plenty of power from the factory. I recommend replacing your stock air filter with a K&N.

Favorite Features

The stereo sounds awesome, the power, cockpit feel, storage.

Suggested Improvements

Had to add real wood trim as these come from the factory with too much black plastic. They should put the same level of wood trim as on the M35.

I have had this car for four months now, and had an Infiniti previously as well. I am hooked! This car is thrilling to drive, super comfortable, great on gas, and although I usually could care less about driving here and there I actually look forward to driving this car every day. It is so super responsive, it's got the agile handling of a sports coupe. It's got space to grocery get,and yet it sticks to the road like glue, and is so un- minivan like. The standard/auto switch shifter is MARVELOUS! I can nagivate tight turns with ease and without cramming on the brakes all the time. It's got a wonderful sound system, and dvd for my son-who thinks this car is the bomb! I am loving this car!

Favorite Features

switch hitter shifter switches to a clutchless standard on the fly. All wheel drive, dash computer is great, satellite radio, bose 6 disc in dash system, 20" tires, like a sedan on steroids!

Suggested Improvements

Car is ultra-wide.I had an Infiniti QX- 4 before, and the different in the width of the vehicle was tough to get used to-I hit a few curbs, and I am an experienced driver... Rear visibility is poor when backing up, window is tiny and tinted.. if it's rainy it's a crap shoot.a standard back up cam??

This is my first luxury car and I have to say that I will keep it forever! Aside from the obvious outstanding exterior design, my FX35 just feels and handles like a sports car. It's great for the highway and the navigation system comes in handy all the time. Truly a fantastic piece of machinery and well worth the money.

Favorite Features

Rear camera, navigation system, keyless entry

Suggested Improvements

Interior aluminum easily scratched.

i had to upgrade my 350z to a crossover or suv type for 3 kids. i ran into this FX35 at a nissan dealership. they had it parked next to a murano and i can see the difference. i made the right choice. i love this thing inside and out! this thing has come in handy with the kids and i love the exhaust tone. it sounds exactly like my 350z and its great to see the same engine in all nissan/infiniti products!

Favorite Features

great gas mileage, leather interior, memory seats, the engine growl! the display tells you everything you need to know.

Suggested Improvements

main screen seems too bland for an infiniti. perhaps a screen upgrade with more color? window controls hard to reach due to interior door handle! need to relocate.

Review

I have an 2005 FX 35 AWF with over 46000 miles. I am trading it in for a 2007 simply because I don't plan on driving this much in the future. Four of my neighbors have the same exact color FX that I have so this is a really good reason to purchase another. I have had absolutely no problems in 46,000 miles. The dealership provides excellent service, second to none. The 20" tires are good for about 25,000 miles. The brakes sometime act jerky if you attempt to stop while turning. They made an adjustment and the problem seems solved. I have had Mercedes and BMW's, the BMW my wife drives. The service there is good but for a car with 13000 miles in 3 1/2 years she has had more problems than I

Favorite Features

Rear view camera, intelligent cruise control, keyless entry and Nag. station. Nag station is highly recommended for seniors, I use this feature at least twice a week. No more trying to read the small print on a Thomas Guide map. I've used it with great success in other states and cities.

Suggested Improvements

Push start button instead of the key slot. More exterior color choices. Interior could use a little more plush carpet.

The fx has abundant horsepower and torque. The sound from the exhaust reminds you that this is a vehicle that wants to be pushed.I love the exterior styling from all angles, it is bold and in your face, very different from the rx or mdx.

Favorite Features

Favorites are styling, performance, handling, luxury amenities, xenon low and high beams.

Suggested Improvements

Make clock larger and place more prominently on center console. Include more brushed aluminum and high gloss wood around the cabin.
