Your mileage record is similar to mine. I'm at 26.6 mpg overall on a '07 CR-V, with a hwy-city mix of about 60-40%. Hwy mileage can be improved easily. Slow down. 65 mph gets you better mileage than 75, and 55 mph is even better. Most of us, though, aren't going to poke along at 55 mph and some think 75 on the open road is too slow. Our 08 AWD CRV LX is one year old and here is the data I've accumulated and condensed. Before 1st Oil Change -(Regular Mineral oil) Overall - 23.7 Mpg After First Oil Change - (Honda/Mobil 1 5w-20 Synthetic) Overall - 27 Mpg (Same driving technique, same route and same amount of miles put each day) Overall City 19-22 Mpg Overall Highway - 29-32 Mpg Worst observed ... From the choices you have given, I know that most of the above would work, but in optimal situations when great demand is placed on the engine. But I suspect that each one will give you fractions more on the gallon in terms of MPG, and most probably will be offset by the increase in weight especially if the part is an add-on and not a replacement. there certainly would ... The CR-V has a short wheel base, 103 inches. That's 3 inches less than the Civic. As a result, yep, it's going to produce a choppy ride compared to most sedans, especially at freeway speeds. I'm also feeling an intermittent vibration but only on a straight line. I am guessing the w&t may need balancing or maybe something related to the brakes. I only feel the vibration coming from the front driver side but is rare. I will tell my dealershp and let you know. Read More...

I don't know if I described the problem with my new CRV right. While driving on hightway, it made me feel like both front tires vibrating and the road coming up to foot. I sent my car to a dealer again. They checked both tires and the suspension system, also I took a technician for road testing. They concluded that nothing wrong with my car and my feeling is quite normal ... Read More...

ANOTHER THOUGHT: Now that Honda has extended the 1.9 - 3.8% APR to the 2009 models... that maybe worth considering if the price difference is a matter of a few hundred dollars.
