I haven't heard anything about a factory recall - the recalls usually take a few years to pop up because the manufacturer (GMC) doesn't want to jump the gun. I have read many forums and blogs that mention the problem stemmed from the drain tubes/hoses which were not connected or connected improperly. Apparently, GMC is either unaware (or at least unconcerned) about the potenial severity of mixing water and electricity. My 2007 Acadia SLT has leaks in a yet undetermined origin in the roof. The water seems to be making entry from somewhere in the front portion of the roof, possibly the parallel seam moldings on either side of the roof or the roof rack anchors ... Read More...

I live 11 miles from the office and somehow have driven 36,000 miles in the first 13 months. Has ANYONE had problems with their odometer? I was not aware that Hyundai made a crossover SUV 15 years ago. I have a 2007 Santa Fe and its the only vehicle I've owned that doesn't rattle, (Chevy's, Fords, Jeeps, Suzuki, Porsche). I guess I have another 14 years to enjoy before I have a rattle. Read More...

My wife and i have a 2007 Acadia which we have enjoyed for well over a year now.I have been very impressed with the mpg of our Acadia = 19-21 city/hwy driving.I truely find it an accomplishment for a vehicle of this size and weight not to mention the amount of power the engine puts out to get this kind of fuel milage.Just to put things into perspective - i also have a 1997 ... why acadia isn't listed on IIHS

I am really curious on why the Acadia is not listed on the safety rating on IIHS web site. Knowing that the vehicle has been out since 2007, I am not understanding why they wouldn't have it listed. Although i noticed the GMC Yukons were not either. I saw Acadias good ratings on Safercar.gov so that is reassuring but am a little concerned about why not on the other site. Read More...

I also own a 2007 GMC Acadia AWD and I consistantly get 24 to 25 mpg combined highway and city driving. I once got it up to 30 mpg on the hiway only. (60 mph and working at keeping the rpm down) My Acadia is now a year old and has almost 14,000 miles on it (it was #17 sold) I had the trans. upgrade and have not seen any difference in the mileage. I decided to search the internet for the "leaking water problem" I am having with my 2007 Acadia. I stumbled across this thread, which will probably be a great asset to me.
