Re: 2008 Legacy 2.5i limited w/vdc [cappy4103]: by simon2 on Fri Dec 14 16:01:26 PST 2007; I ended up buying a 2008 Legacy Limited w/ vdc (see post # 535) for $21,500 + $254 doc. fee + 7% RI sales tax. This price includes the $1,000 rebate. I purchased the car from Patrick Subaru in Shrewsbury, MA.

[lkconfer]: by occking on Thu Jan 25 14:35:45 PST 2007; I got my 06 Tribeca, limited with NAV for $26,500 last August (had 10,000 miles on it) and ever since then, this dealer runs adds every week in the paper offering similar ones for less than $25,000. [ri: by xwesx on Mon Oct 30 10:55:29 PST 2006; riacono, I am not sure what incentives exist at this point in time on 2006 models, but when I was considering a 2006 Ltd this summer, 25350 was right at invoice, with a 2,000 incentive included, so while it is a decent price, it is nothing Earth-shattering. the XT Ltd looks to be about the same - right at invoice (if considering a 2K incentive). At this point it looks like just a matter of which you prefer. The '07 models do have a few upgrades that I would consider worthwhile, but whether those are in the running depend greatly on your willingness o haggle over a price! Here we are, Monday evening, or rather earlyTuesday morning, & I just came back from trip to Quebec (from Prov Ri area) 860 miles, mpg per trip computer was 23.7, actual mileage (I filled it to the brim each time so I know my calculations very accurate) was 23.2, so I am quite pleased. For the most part drive around 70 on the highway & have avoided jackrabbit starts (well, I had to try it a few times) AFter coming out of a 05 Outback with the 4 cylinder non-turbo, this car seems like a jet to me! I have read a lot of complaints about the power in this vehicle, I certainly have no complaints. Particular while going aroound 40 or 50 & you want to pass someone. Love the Nav system although it does have some idiosyncracies (don't ask me how to spell that word). Many more features than on the GArmin Street Pilot I had. But, it kept telling me my trip from Montreal home, although it gave accurate mileage of approx 360 kept telling me it was a 8 hour trip, and I have driven is many times & less than 6 hours. Other than that a nice toy & I will get a lot of use out of it. Works great in Canada, much better than the GArmin.
