2009 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Limited: by sjtash on Fri Dec 05 10:41:13 PST 2008; I live on Long Island, NY and am looking for the best deal on the 2.5XT Limited. Anyone buy one recently, where, how was your experience and what should I look to pay? I was estimating $28,500. Any thoughts?

Subaru forester 2.5x, 2009, AT: by redcell on Tue Dec 02 19:32:24 PST 2008; Hi, got this price from a Subaru dealer in Bayridge, Brooklyn- 20,750 $ excluding NY state taxes (1737.82) and new plates (160) and other fee of 25$. Total out the door price was 22,715.32$. dealer MSRP ~ 22,090$ and dealer invoice at 21,078$. The only thing extra in the car given by the dealer was all weather mats and a full tank of gas- no other extra attachments. Looked like the salesman/manager would have gone down by ~ 500$ more if I waited for a week to two more. Little not satisfied with the deal - felt that I should have not rushed in to the deal- anyways guys- please let me know how this deal was-- ur comments awaited !!

But then again, they had over 10 days to fill up the car because they did not want to release it to me unless I came by during a very specific and small window of time.

When I pointed it out to the staff, they gave me cash to fill it up!

2009 forester X-limited from bill kolb subaru NY: by pharmd718 on Thu Nov 27 06:24:58 PST 2008; I placed an order for the X-limited at bill kolb subaru. When the car came in, I brought a check for the full amount. However, I was told that I can't pick up the car till the following week (the car was sitting on the lot with my name on it). I was told that they don't have the time to have a salesperson show me around the car. I informed them that I paid for the car in full and should be able to pick it up when I want it. They informed me that unless I came by that specific day at a specific time they would not give me the car because they will not have a salesperson to help me. They want their sales people to concentrate as much time on selling the car and spend as little time as possible actually getting the car to the customer. When I came back to get the car, the sales person handed me the keys and said "all you need to know is in the instruction manual" and then asked me if there is anything I needed to now. I asked him about filling the car with gas and he said "oh yea, make sure that the cap clicks when you close it". That was it!!!! I will never buy from them again! :mad: http://www.bkcars.com/

09 Outback 3.0R w/ Nav: by jacknsa on Tue Nov 18 14:32:14 PST 2008; MSRP comes to $35,340 dealer quoted $31,900. Good deal? Some confusion about homelink option. Subaru site (and edmunds) lists it at $75 but dealer says its more (I forgot price but something over $150). Can you help me reconcile this detail? Also he quoted a 36 month lease of $549 ( 10,000 miles, includes NY taxes - 8.375). That seems high. What are current factor, residual for that car? TIA Jack
