I bought from Heuberger - instate. That $17.20 is the CO rate. Also, be sure to check the date of purchase with your insurance company, Subaru, etc. I found they put down on some paper work that I nevr saw, that they sent to the state, that I bought the car 2 weeks before I even saw it. This could affect your length of warranty (if something happens in that 2 week period), insurance cost for the year, etc, if you don't rectify it. Subaru corrected the date after I sent them copies of my sales receipt. I only just found out the insurance company has overcharged me due to this same error, even though I told them the date it was delivered when I requested the insurance. So I have to ask them for more money back. The DMV would have had the same issue, except the dates were within the same month, so it didn't affect what I had to actually pay, (my fees were significantly more than the $50 mentioned here), You pay for the full month no matter what day you register it on, in my county that is.
Subaru Impreza outback sport price- good?

We were quoted a price of $19700 +$500 dealer fee for a 2008 automatic impreza ouback sport. The msrp is $22,281. It has a few extras, like the auto dimming mirror with compass and homelink. Is this a good price? Should I keep working it or just take it? We are in Denver, CO. Thanks so much.

Sorry for the delay in the response. I shopped both Dellenbach and Loveland, but only Dellenbach was willing to match the price from Heuberger. Loveland said, "Thanks but no thanks. We'd be happy to service your vehicle, though!"

Thanks! I actually had one more quote come in from Heuberger in CO Springs. They offered $22,400 on the same vehicle and they'd deliver it to me in Loveland (2 hours away). Always liking to keep my business local, I called my local dealer and offered them the opportunity to match the price and earn my business. They agreed to $22,400 PLUS threw in free labor on oil changes for life. I'm going in tomorrow to finalize the order and make my deposit! I'm thrilled I held out for that last quote as it saved me $600! This whole Internet shopping thing is awesome!
About to order...

I'm about to pull the trigger on having my local dealership order me an '09 Premium in dark gray metallic with: * Auto * All-weather Pkg * All-weather floor mats * Fog lamps * Tweeter Kit * iPod Interface Kit * iPod/Phone console tray Pricing it out on Subaru.com, I'm at $25,204 with destination. Local dealer will order it for $23, 076 "FINAL PRICE" (that doesn't include tax or anything). They claim that this is $500 under invoice. Plus I'd be eligible for any incentives that are in place on delivery. Thoughts? Opinions? Based on what I'm seeing here, this is a pretty good deal for a vehicle that is not actually sitting on the lot.

Not sure about predicting special financing offers, but if past history holds up, the rebates will be no worse than they are now, possibly better. I'd expect to pay below invoice, rather than over. Invoice minus rebates is a good target... many folks do even better (up to an additional approx $1500 off, depending on whatever incentives Subaru's giving the dealer at the time). I, too, live in an area where Subarus are extremely popular, and getting the low pricing is not difficult. E-mailing different dealers' internet sales dept is generally a good way to go. Perhaps someone else here has a recommendation for a CO dealer that gave them a good deal. Anyone?
