Hi Tony, thanks for the reply. I tried to negotiate with local dealers, doing just what you said, and they were so rude I couldnt believe it. One guy said 'no way' and wouldnt even take my name and number. Another one said 'good luck and if you find one for that price let me know and Ill go buy a hundred of them'. :( No one is negotiating at all. They say the price on the tag is the bottom line. Im actually driving to another state tomorrow to check out this rig. I figured with the economy crisis and the end of the year approaching that someone might be willing to dicker a little, but no one is budging. As for waiting, the tranny in my current rig is ready to go and from everything Ive read about the bailout it will probably come in the form of a 3k credit. If thats offered by the government I dont see GMC continuing the 6k discount thats running now. So Im thinking, but wanted opinions, on whether 43 is a good price or not. Thank you!

Does anyone have any insight into the price of 2008 SLT-1 model with 8,000 miles? Features include sunroof/moonroof 19" wheels trailer hitch rear cargo mats I was quoted $27k which seems reasonable, but I'm never sure...

Yeah with the sales off by that much you can make a great deal. Generally you can get a better deal with Chevy because there are more Chevy dealers than GMC.

I am also curious to what kind of deals people are getting now days. GM is hurting...big time. The GM discount did not help that much either. I am looking at a 2009 SLT-2 with navigaiton, etc. List price $47k. They offered it for $42k but I know they can go lower than that. They said that was with the GMC discount. Only $5k off...I was getting offers around $10k off when looking at new Tahoes.
Re: No Leases on GMC Acadias? [vmoore]

Hi vmoore. What you were told is correct. GMAC was offering a lease program with an unattractive 8.25% interest rate earlier this month, but it pulled the plug on it when it introduced the Employee Pricing promotion. That means if you want to lease an Acadia right now, you will have to do so through an independent bank. The problem is that many major independent banks have exited the leasing business lately. I'm not even sure that you will be able to find one that is willing to lease you an Acadia right now. If there is one, your dealer will probably know about it. Unfortunately, I do not personally keep tabs on non-captive lease programs so I don't know what an independent bank's numbers would look like for this truck.
