Town & Country $425 Disposal Charge
by oceana143 on Sat Nov 29 19:07:28 PST 2008
Would be surprised if I was the only one with this issue, but here it goes: My lease agreement says that a $450 disposal fee will be waived if I purchase or lease another Daimler Chrysler vehicle and finance the vehicle through Daimler Chrysler Financial Services. I just returned a Town & Country and did not get another Chrysler vehicle because I could not get a lease. Regarding the disposal fee, I am justifying not paying it based on the following: 1) I could not lease through Daimler Chrysler Financial because they stopped doing leases on August 1, 2008. Is it my fault they did this? 2) I tried to get a lease through another source and was rejected, even though my credit score is way higher than it was when I got my Town & Country 27 months ago. And yes, I did keep the rejection notice. Is it my fault even people with near 700 credit scores cannot get a Chrysler lease due to the credit crunch? Look, we can rationalize anything, but I really wanted a 2008 Town & Country and did everything a reasonable person could be expected to do to make this happen. I think I have grounds to not pay, at least based on the fact that they got out of the leasing business. A person should not be forced to purchase vs. lease if they want to get out of the disposal fee. Do you agree with this assessment? I am planning on writing them a letter and if they say no, would take my chances having it sent to a collections agency and then negotiating. Or, to be honest, would agree on a settlement that would bring the $450 down just to avoid the time and effort.

Try Chrylerwarranties.com. I got a lifetime bumper to bumper coverage with a $100 deductible for about $1600. Just hope Chrysler's lifetime is long.

#91 of 92 I Bought The Car!!! by winstonscifi Nov 16, 2008 (3:46 am) Well, after haggling a few more days, the dealer came down to 15,857.00 plus tax and license. I walked out of Larry Reid's Bloomington Chrysler with a brand new 2007 base Crossfire coupe in black for 17,334.00. The MSRP was 30,745.00. I've been driving this car around for about 2 weeks now, and I like it more every day. It reminds me of my 1974 Triumph Spitfire, only with alot more power. There's not much room in the interior, and no cupholder. The radio has a bothersome lag, but all that is forgiven when you hit the curves - or hit the GO pedal! By the way, my first tank of fuel brought 23.4 miles per gallon. I'm not complaining. That is an amazing deal. You said it was a base - does that mean manual? Either way, that's less than a Honda Civic.

Hi and welcome to the forums. Your requested price quote for a 2008 T&C Limited with dual screen DVD and Sirius backseat TV in zip code region 64105 is shown below. MSRP: $38,420 EC: $32,537 Friends: $33,168 All prices shown above include a $730 destination charge. Both the EC and Friends prices include a current $1,500 rebate, which expires on 01/02/2008. Add a $200 program fee to the EC price that would be collected by the dealer. You said you can't find one without a sunroof, power folding seat and Bluetooth. You probably already know about this but you can go to chrysler.com and use the Build My Own tool and then the dealer search. You can select the distance radius that it will search under the advanced search options. If you find something you like take a printout of it to your local dealer and ask them to transfer it for you. Email me on my carspace.com box and I'll tell you more about the discount programs and how to register for a control number for next year. Use the Mailbox button near the top right of this screen.
