Great Car

This was my first new car pruchase and I had a couple requirements: It had to be inexpensive without looking like it, it had to be good on gas, and last but most important it had to be a GM. I bought one of the last 2007's in January. A Victory Red LS coupe. The only option was the auto tranny. After rebates, trade in, etc I got it for $10,300. I got $1,000 off because I was ... Chevy Cobalt – Power Sunroof Switch Problem

I purchased a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LT (Program Car) about 4 months ago. It has the Power Sunroof, Heated Seats, Leather Seats, Pioneer Stereo, Alloy Wheels, etc. About 3 days after I got the car the moulding around the power switch for the sunroof fell out of the ceiling along with the switch itself. I have now brought the car back 3 times to have this fixed and it is still ... Read More...

Chevy Cobalt vs. Ford Focus

Re: focus v cobalt [mosfetman]

I own a 2000 Focus, which isn't much different than even the new 2008s, and I rented a 2007 Cobalt and find both to be solid vehicles. I still feel they are a step down from the Civics and Corollas, especially in fuel economy, but used they are a TREMENDOUS deal. I had a 2001 Chevy Prizm which I totaled this past April, and while the Focus can't touch it fuel mileage wise, ... Read More...

Re: 2007 chevrolet coablt 2dr lt coupe(red) [cobalt4life]

The 1986 Nova was actually a Toyota Corolla. I'm not surprised at the reliability there. I had an '87 Nova for 11 years! I hope you get to report back in a couple years to tell us how the Cobalt's been running for you! It's the longevitiy I'm mainly interested in reading about. Read More...

I love my Cobalt

I bought a 2007 Cobalt LS coupe on Dec. 31st. for $10,300 and I couldn't be happier. It gets great mileage, it doesn't look cheap, and it has enough power to hold its own. I now have almost 7k miles on it and so far no problems... the DIC didn't even tell me to change the oil yet. I had to take it to the shop once but it was my fault because I hit a pothole and bent the rim. Coming ... Read More...

Do Not Compare Cavalier with Cobalt

3 small Chevys... will buy another.

I agree with one of the posters that the Cobalt is a replacement for the Cavalier just like the Aveo replaces the Metro. The Camaro was never replaced... it just went on hiatus (unless you would like to stoop so low and say the Monte Carlo replaced it). I owned a 1992 Cavalier with the V6 and if it wasn't for the rust, it would've lasted forever. It had a fairly bad oil ... Read More...

i own a 2007 chevy cobalt, first time the check engine light came on it was a fuel injector, the dealer replaced it. the car had 12,0000 miles on it. the light came on again this friday, now the light went off. Does the engine light have to be on for the dealer to find the problem? the car has the same problems hesitation, rough idle. Read More...
