new 335i fuel pump malfunctioning

Well, it seems my 08 335i (manual with sports package) may have also fallen victim to HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) failure. I took the car in yesterday because for the past two-three days, ignition times have been intermittently taking upward of 5 to 7 seconds. Classic symtoms of the well known, wide spreed, fuel pump failure that has plagued the 335i since it's ... Read More...

Re: BMW Gadgetry [richardga73]

hello rchardqa, actually, I've never considered a 3 series without sports package for the following reasons: 1.) never test driven a non-sports package car to compare them back to back.. I guess I'm inherently wired to get that option. 2.) i remember a couple reviews commenting on how the sports package is definately worth it. 3.) I find the ride quality quite ... Read More...

Re: 2009 328ci SULEV Fuel Pump [shipo]

The key point is that the SULEV engines have the fuel pump\filter SEALED in the gas tank. I have no problem with the pump being in the tank, the problem I have is that it is non serviceable w\o replacing the entire tank. The SULEV engines are shipped and sold in NY, CA, VT, MA, and ME. This engine setup includes a fuel pump and filter which are sealed into the gas tank which ... Read More...

BMW 3-Series Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: [zman1974]

Egad, you're down 13k now but you want to put yourself down even more? The Acura's taken its massive depreciation hit already. Hold onto it for another year. By then you'll be closer to right-side up on it and your local BMW dealer will be hurting even more. Track how much you spend on maintenance over the next year. If it's more than about 1k you could probably make ... Read More...

2008 BMW 3-Series 4dr Sdn 328i good deal?

Hello, newbie to the forum (first post). Looking at possibly leasing a 328i and basically got quoted the current lease offers off of the bmw website. Also offered me a 2008 4dr Sdn 328i that is fully loaded with all options except navigation (premium, sport, xenon, etc....) Gave me a vehicle price of 41,845.00 and added 189.00 for floor mats and 495.00 for tint ... Read More...

Re: Automatic on 2008 335I decreases dealer invoice by $1210 [soupcon]

The other important point I want to make is that a 2009 335I is going to cost $2025 more more if you want the Logic 7 (+875, it has become an option!) and the sport package (+300, a previously optional trim line was added) as well as a $800 base price increase. So even if they offer the free automatic on 2009's. you are going to pay more. Of course if your are buyer that likes ... Read More...

Hey KYFDX!!

Which BMW model did you recently lease? I know the money factors on some 2008 3 Series models are only 0.00075 through the end of the month. Tempting. Read More...

Re: Automatic on 2008 335I decreases dealer invoice by $1210 [jayrider]

The asking prices at dealerships do not reflect any concession to the economy or the oversupply of these cars. Depends on how much it costs them to keep cars on their lots and customer demands. If people are willing to overpay for a used BMW there is no incentive for them to change their asking prices. It always amazes me that people who earn enough money to buy a BMW ... Read More...
